How can u question what was divinely appointed. Can you question the legitimacy of Prophet Muhammed being a prophet? Ofcourse u cant because Allah knows best. Remember the Quran confirms the Prophet is a revelation to mankind, he does not err, nor does he wander. Clearly this verse outlines anything he suggests or does, is instructed by Allah. So if He (saw) confirmed there will be 12 Imams (commanders/alul-amr) then so be it.

And furthermore, why some people are so concerned about others this much? Why can?t they just live their lives and let the others do the same as long as they don?t cross the fundamentals of reason and Islam? You see people, many people just start to hate Islam (and they are Muslims) because of these topics. I mean, what do you care of someone believed that there are 12 men after the Prophet who actually support Islam? Or who would care of some other people believed of 10 people who were friends of the Prophet and they are going to heaven by certainty?

You have "too" many IFs and that showes that you don't understand how Shia think. They think that "Imamah" is not for the Prophet's relatives, but to some people who are chosen.
