should i go for a fellowship

i have a question, i finished my residency training, however i feel like i still want to learn a lot of things, and therefore my friends are suggesting me to do a fellowship, now my question is does it have to be fellowship to make me feel like i am learning or can it be any other kinda experience that makes me feel like i am still in the process of learning, but wat?, any suggestion?

it depends what u are interested in learning. if u want to master a limited scope and have that as your area of expertise, then specialize. i did as it was the only specialty of medicine that suited my lifestyle and patient population.

but medicine is a lifelong learning process. ask anyone. reading journals and keeping abreast, and recertification- so it's an ongoing learning process. if u want to learn your field, you can always join a person working in practice much longer and learn as you go along from asking him/her relevant questions.
