Songs with 'London' in them: The Clash

Dedicated to my beautiful stalker, and never more beautiful can a stalker get than Londonpunk. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
London Calling: The Clash
London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared - and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard,you boys and girls
London calling, now don't LECTURE us
Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the reign of that truncheon thing
CHORUS
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear
Cause London is drowning - I live by the river
London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go at it alone
London calling the zombies of death
Quit holding out - and draw another breath
London calling - and I don't wanna shout
But while we were talking I saw you running out
London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes
CHORUS x2
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
Cause London is drowning - I, I live by the river
Now get this
London calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
And after all this, won't you give me a smile?
London Calling
I never felt so much ALIVE ALIVE ALIVE
i love streetpunk, Oi!, hxc, and original 77 punk music. Yeah, those cunts who follow tabloids and glamour mags are idiots... it's fun, tho, so I can sneer at 'em. Lead the sheep to the butcher... baa!
u know, i'm really steamed with the youth today. so many listen to utter feces like britney or american idol crud. if only they immersed themselves in really great bands like the clash, among others. even if they immersed themselves in only one genre of music, whether it be punk rock, goth, or metal, and learned everything about that one genre including its roots, people would be more interesting. instead they follow trends and glamour mags to get music tips. IDIOTS!!
yeah, the Clash is my most favourite band of all time. Joe Strummer, RIP. I love "London's Burning," and "guns of brixton." Then there is "White Man in Hammersmith Palais." "White Riot" was about the 1977 Notting Hill riots. The Clash totally epitomizes London in the 1970s, along with the Sex Pistols. How did you guess I'm a Clash diehard fan, Robert? ;-)
