Soundtrek has released version 6.0 of Jammer. I just upgraded this week. This is a music arrangement software which can greatly help solo artists. You can create your session musicians inside Jammer, ask them to compose based on chord progressions and rules you set and then solo over it. One great thing about this version is that they have split default musicians out of band styles, making it more flexible. Although it can be a bit difficult to get started with Jammer, once you are comfortable, it is a great tool for orchestration of tracks. The main thing missing is an Audio engine, and ReWire/VST support because Jammer is purely a MIDI software.
