South East Asia Tour 2005/06
--Journal has also been posted in "travel plans" village--
Salaam all,
This is my first journal, though I registered sometime ago, its only very recently I have started to use this site.
I thought I'd share my travel plans with my fellow muslims and see if anyone else has the same/similar plans as myself. If so then we could travel together? You could join me for part or whole of the journey.
I am flying out from London via Dubai on the 14th Dec; and visiting the following places:
1.Hong Kong (15-19 Dec Confirmed)
2.Thailand*
3.Singapore*
4.Bali (for New Years - 29 Dec - 2 Jan**)
5.Malaysia*
6.Bangladesh (for Eid & B'day) (9th - 15 Jan)
7.Back to London! :o( (16th)
*Dates & Itinerary flexible
** Subject to Risk Assessment?
*** Any advice & recommendations of things to do n places to see welcome even though I have a lonely planet guide for all the places)***

Anyways, Have a save trip and (early) happy birthday!
Looks like a great trip, my reccomendations:
- Singapore - try and visit dolphin lodge (its in Indonesia, but a day trip from Singapore. Here you can go swimming with dolphins and learn to become a dolphin trainer) www.bintan-resorts.com
- Thailand - if near Bangkok try and visit Ayuthaya, the ancient capital. Take a day trip, coach on the way up, river boat cruise and lunch on the way back.
- Hong Kong: - take peak tram upto the peak, dine at the move n pick and shop for pearls for your female relatives :p
- Malaysia: - if in KL, visit the butterfly park, its fab, or if time permits, try the wildlife reserve with fireflies, its an evening tour, but the fireflies are pretty
- Bangladesh: - never been, but Im sure the restaurants are great :p
Safe travels bro and may Allah have mercy on us all, ameen!
