Amina, it is health services, not health policy research that I do. Basically, it is looing into patterns of utilization of services and spendings, and use of resources. It also invloves large database management and analyses. Outcomes research is self explanatory, looking at associations and outcomes of various diseases and comorbidities and predictors of outcomes.

i did some ob, then switched to, and just finished my IM residency. IM was a stepping stone to do allergy/immunology specialty. but in terms of International relief, if I get to do that iA, then I'll have to fall back on my IM training iA.

in Canada most emerg docs do family med first then emerg med. So I'm doing both :)

I have already pursued - I am and ID person and also a health services and outcomes researcher. Actually I spend 80% of my time in research.

hi amina i want to pursue OBGYN.....thats my future plans and inshAllah i will be rearing my life towards it bc of the lack of doc's in AFghanistan...especially maternal physicians.. so thats where my future is heading...
