Srebrenica - 10 years after

Today is the 10th aniversary of the holocaust in Srebrenica perpetrated by Serbs. Today, 10 years after, they still claim, that it either did not happen or they just did not know. Recall how simillar it sounds to what germans said af they were forced to see the horror of Hitler's concentration camps: "They did not know it". The fact is they, Serbs, did know it. And, they justified it. And on top of all they said: "Screw them!".

Srebrenica teaches us that fascism is alive.

Today, many serbs will say it is bad what has happened in Srebrenica, that many serbs died too. Comparing innocent victims of premediated murder and genocide with victims of war, that serb leaders do, is wrong. Wily Brandt, Prime Minister of Germany in the '70s did not compare german dead with victims of Hitler's genocidal politics. It is simply not comparable.

Srebrenica is a symbol of shame to both United Europe and Serbia, to EU because they promissed that holocaust will not happen again and it did, to Serbia because ther they perpetrated it. They can pretend that they did not know it. But they did. And they justified it.

Bosnia wants to be part of Europe. But there is no integration into EU before reconciliation in this region. And there is reconciliation until justice is done. We owe it to the victims of this genocide.

Humanism has lost in Bosnia. Today is the 10th anniversary of holocaust. We, Turks ,will never forget Bosnians tragedy. We are ashamed because our governments could not help Bosnia. There were handicaps. Another reality is Europeans did not want a muslim state in Europe. Weapon ambargo practised unfairly, Serbians still had weapons and armies at war times.
Today is time to share our grief!
