nge, great tip.. i use something similar if i get stage fright (before interviews/ public speaking).. panic later.. ie. go into the room and do your best, cry over the bit of the speech/ answer you forgot later - works as i havent had to panic afterwards up till now.

Prayer always keeps your mind off of things.

another thing i try is relax and think of the worst..and then it no longer is some unknown consequence that we are so fearful of in case of failure. get at least 8hrs sleep if you want your mind to work at the optimum level, and for it to remember whatever you learned during the day.

Harvard journal's article claimed that you lose 60% of the things you learn in a day if brain doesn't get required 8hrs sleep. sorry, no more long nights repeatedly going over the same things anymore...

do what the pros do...panic and then sweat, and then panic little more, and in nervousness, forget half the material you spent nights learning...and voila, you are a majority now:p

kidding aside, i used to stress over the exams...but now i take them as a test of what i know. if i don't, it's a good thing that i find out about it.
i know grades are important, and we all want 4.0GPA. so strive for that, but also keep in mind is that college is only a medium that all have to go through before we can enter in the real World. And it's better you suffer in the medium as you'll be immune later.

Now stress and anxiety are different.
Anxiety is good. It makes you concentrate better.
Stress makes you overeat :(

Get up early in the morning, say your moonz (prayer), go out for a run, take a shower, say those prayers suggested by Red, sit down and work, work, work, work.
Yippieeeeeeee! You have passed that exam. :) Good luck!

Exam is not a problem. It's just another milestone toward your goals. Enjoy the anxiety and whatever comes with it. If it's a tough exam. Even better! You might experience some orgasm at the results :)

if stress is a really really big problem for you, there are medicines that dr's can prescribe--go visit your physician and she/he will tell you about em..

Try some breathing techniques to help you relax. Close your eyes and think about something you like and makes you feel comfortable. Do some Dhikr, Insha Allah I will try to find the ones you say for anxiety.

Peace

Well when my friends & i study, we usually have tea and hookah while studying, kinda calms the nerves, and provides a relaxing atmosphere. Keep this up till the day of the test, exam or whatver, and make sure you pray especially that day, not that you should lag on em any other day.
