Suffer the Little Muslims--an article about harrassment of Muslim children

Hey Guys, this is happening in the Bay Area. Can we call school boards, schools, etc or do something about it?
www.sfweekly.com

This article hilights acts of racism against muslim children in Bay Area schools. What enrages me is not simply the teasing and harrassing done by schoolchildren (I believe schoolchildren can be very sadistic and ruthless) but the blatant disregard shown by the guilty school districts.

Mehnazmd: Yes, I'm not sure what would be most effective in this situation. I'm new to the Bay Area myself. I'm assuming that there must be some local American Muslim political action groups. What about talking to the local SF chapter of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee www.adcsf.org)?

The site has a contact for "for assistance with discrimination or harassment by employers, banks, retail stores and other businesses, landlords, neighbors and schools":

Thanks for reading the link, Mahanafi. This article struck a cord with me when I read it. I am not new to racism and bullying at school. Its one of the reasons I rarely revisit my Elementary and Middle school memories. As adults, we dont often encounter issues like this, but children don't have a voice, and it is easy for them to be bullied, traumatized, and get lost in the system. People who defend blatant bigotry towards muslim children must be held accountable. But, really, I have no idea of how to go about doing this. I was thinking of calling the school districts.
