Suggestions Please!
Hello everyone!
I shall be visiting London over Christmas for 2 weeks. I also wanted to explore a few other cities in Europe, time permitting.
If any one has toured around Paris, or cities in Italy, I would love to hear your suggestions/tips on how to get the most out of my trip. Also, suggestions for places to explore in and around London would be greatly appreciated.
I've done the Tower of London, Madam T, stuff already. I would love to visit the museums and art galleries... perhaps you can suggest which ones I should include on my list.
I'm not really into clubbing, etc, I'm more the "artsy" "literary" type of gal... so any suggestions with this in mind would be greatly appreciated.
So far, my list of things to do/places to visit includes:
- London Museums, Art Galleries
- Camden
- Portebello St, Kensinton
- Globe Theatre
- Oxford St (for shopping!!)
- Camden Antique market
- Cottswalds
- Canterbury
- Windsor Castle
- Bath
- Stratford
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Besides, you can't be in decent space yet be swept off your feet in tapdancing (by your partner) unless you mix seerious freestyle into it. Ballroom dancing, a gentleman can show his mettle just by how he makes you fly!!
hope u have an amazing time in london!!!!
safe trip,
ahiahi
Bazilla, Hampton court has been added to the list :)
Melissa711, unfortunately I ended up planning too much for London.. so I don't think I will have time for Paris and Italy this trip. But thanks for the suggestions, will keep them in mind for next time.
Superman, never tried ball room dancing... but I'm starting tap dancing lessons in Jan :)
Have you taken the Chunnel train to Paghi? I want to do that.. and wouldn't merely sit for the ride. I'd be in the club car, and socialize along the way.
The next time I visit london I'll time my trip with a ballroom dance event. I've gotten into ballroom dancing here on the west coast (gaskellball.com) and wouldn't miss it in Europe for the world! Have you ever indulged?
i don't know if you've been to italy, but if u haven't, i should warn u about those italian guys!!! just.... be prepared lol, they have no shame! hey, it's all part of the experience, and i absolutely LOVE italy.
you're going to have an incredible time. BON VOYAGE! CIAO, BELLA!
If you can make your way to Wales you will enjoy the scenary around Snowdon.
You could also visit Hampton Court which was Henry VIII's palace.
Dont forget to visit Southall Broadway for the great food! ;)
