Hi folks. If you're a law student, have ever been a law student, or have ever known a law student, you'll know that many spend their first year summers working in public interest positions, providing much needed assistance to everyone from migrant workers to domestic violence victims. More than being their first legal job, these experiences often capture the essence of why so many of us become lawyers -- because we want to help others.

Unfortunately, most of these jobs are unpaid, and it's hard for law students to find funding.

SABANY TO THE RESCUE!!!! The South Asian Bar Association of New York has set up a fellowship to help fund law students who will be spending their summers working at unpaid legal internships. So there you have it -- free money for your summer.
