Though, I must confess, I only got interested in this movie b/c of Crowe, after reading more about Braddock himself, though - I agree w/ you. :)

I'm looking forward to Kingdom of Heaven... I've got faith in Ridley Scott... I doubt it will be a completely biased version... more likely, he will try to make both sides look good and bad as a balance... we shall soon see I suppose...

exactly meech. (and thanks for housekeeping th VE)ive read abt the filming of the movie last summer how Scott was being very cautious. it looks GOOD ! yeah Hitchhikers' guide looks nutty but i wanna see it too

Um, u forgot to mention Scott directed Gladiator! Can't forget that! :P Ok - Saladin is played by an Egyptian actor, and there have been a whole bunch of articles on how Scott is trying to be balanced w/ the portrayel (ie not show the Muslims as the bad guys, and show how brutal some Christians were at the time).

The movie about the crusades...guess who made it Ridley Scott....the same guy who made Black Hawk Down, Pirattes of the Caribbean and all movies that have gotten the mainstream America running to invest their weekend nights. Hmm the trailer's got mostly christio-european descent actors. Not one muslim voice. Despite this i've heard its got several Christians upset...i wonder about this one.

Ab - ugh on a movie based on the Adams' series. As a devout reader of all the books, I can't imagine a movie being made out of it. blech blech blech :P

re Charlie & Choc Factory: I read the book b4 watching the movie - and Wilder creeped me out. I love Depp, but I don't think he's Wonka material, but, I hear they tried to follow the book more, so I'll still see it. :)
