the *great* thing about living in the northeast is that one day/week it will be sooooo freezing, as in below 0 deg. and THEN , bam! its 0 again. so when it returns to 0 it feels so nice and warm!

yea I love it in LA
I hate to brag but it was 70 today all day.

hey brownman, I live in LA, there is so much to see and do in LA, it all depends on your taste and style and what's your fun.
shopping and walking around: Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade.
Rodeo Drive and all of Beverly Hills especially along Sunset Blvd.
Hollywood Blvd during the day time, and Sunset Blvd late at night especially on the weekend. Also Santa Monica Blvd at night in West Hollywood. Universal City Walk: it is part of Universal Studio but you do not have to pay to get in there.
if you are into the art: the Getty Museum, Huntington Park and Musem.

LA, don't live there. But visited:
I recommend the following:
1- Hollywood Blvd around sunset.
2- Laguna (Night) - Newport, Venice Beaches (Day).
3- Santa Monica Blvd/ Beverly Hills (Day drive), u can add west wood (ucla campus)
4- Disney's down town in anahiem.
5- If ur a hookah guy, check the places in Orange county.

I'm 6 "2.. and I love playing basketball.. I'm in a couple of leagues now, dont see too many desi's playing ball..

We actually have a muslim basketball tournament every year in Austin.. its through the University of Texas MSA..Pretty competitive, draws ballers from Houston, San Antonio and Dallas..

On a side note: Does anyone live in LA.. I'm heading there for the break... any suggestions as to what I should see?
