Take Good Care of Women
As-Salam-Alaykum,
I am looking for an explaination of the following hadith as i believe it contains an essential lesson for married people.
I dont remember the exact hadith, but the following is a summary:
"Take good care of women. They were created from the most bent part of the rib. If you try to straighten them, they will break and if you leave them as is, they will remain bent - so take good care of women."
One explanation that comes to mind for me is that one should accept a woman for who she is and not go against her essential nature by trying to change her. However, this would imply that this is generally not the same for men. Anyway, this is just my personal opinion.
I would appreciate it if i could hear a scholar's take on this hadith.
Jazak-Allah
