Take him back?

Hey guys, I have a question for you all. Where do you draw the line for taking your ex back? Lets say that he/she really hurt you in the past, and decided to come back along and is asking for you to take him/her back claiming that they have changed, how do you determine that they have changed? I'm talking about engagement and marriage rather than dating (just thought I'd point out since it does make a little bit of a different). I would really like your guys input. Thanks.

everything is 360, what goes up come down, what goes around comes back around again. Things change, while most people dont.

Lvely247- Definitely a lot of truth to that!

If the same problem remains unresolved and keeps resurfacing... is it even worth going back to?

They say that the same problems that have led to the breakup will most likely resurface the 2nd time around. and of course, there are always exceptions.

I suppose it would depend on what she did to hurt me badly enough that it ended our initial relationship. My general rule of thumb is that if it was bad enough that it ended the relationship, then it's probably not a good idea to get back together. There may be exceptions, I guess.

I believe in "forgive, but don't forget." That doesn''t mean that I hold a grudge, it's just that I take into account all of my experiences with people and base my views on them accordingly.
