My Husband is a pro bodybuilder and he tans to dry up the access water from the body and skin. Tanning helps him tighten his skin so it looks more toned and ripped.

I did the mystic tan before I went on vacation. I just had my legs done as my arms were already tanned naturally from driving and being outside, even with sunscreen. I loved it! It stayed on for a good two weeks. She did my arms a tiny bit for free. That hint of colour/glow on a pair of pale legs looked great.

I believe tanning is really not good for your skin. I did it for a few years, and yea it looks great but then I did some research so I backed off a bit. If you think about it in for a sec....a tanning salon gives you a tan in 10 minutes what a whole day on the beach still cant give you....
The beach tanning does not get me tan for some reason so I did the tanning salon for a while. Either way its a risk...its your own call after that

Over exposure to the UV rays of the sun & tanning beds can cause premature aging of the skin, wrinkling, freckling, and of-course increased risk of malignant melanoma & basal cell carcinoma. Tanning beds are a bit more of a concern as people don't use sunscreen/sunblock while tanning in them. Here's an informative link www.aad.org I personally love the beach, outdoors, and in the past have used tanning beds occasionally.

You need to elaborate further as to what you mean by 'tanning'... tanning-beds? outdoors/sun? tanning-creams? Each has its different pros & cons!
