Any Meade scope that you can afford. If you don't mind the bulk get the largest Dobsonian that you are willing to buy. Make sure you leave enough money for eye pieces. I also suggest buying the Timothy Ferris book titled "Seeing in the dark" as well. His website can be clicked through this www.timothyferris.com . I would also consider purchasing a used scope from a site like craigslist, an amateur astronomy forum, or even ebay... Depending on your level of comfort. How much money do you want to spend? How much light pollution is in your area? Is portability more important that viewing detail? are you interested in planets, star clusters, the moon, or a little bit of everything? Do you want to be able to attach a camera and/or a motor? These are all questions that you should be asking yourself. by all means contact me if you have any more questions. salaam, johnny
