The Advantages of Bein Muslim

An old Arab lives close to New York City for more than 40 years. He would love to plant potatoes in his garden, but he is alone, old and weak. His son is in college in Paris, so the old man sends him an e-mail. He explains the problem:
"Beloved son, I am very sad, because I can't plant potatoes in my garden. I am sure, if only you were here, you would help me and dig up the garden for me. I love you. -Your father."

The following day, the old man receives a response e-mail from his son:"Beloved father, please don't touch the garden. It's there that I have hidden 'the THING'. I love you, too. -Ahmed".

At 4pm, the US Army, the Marines, the FBI, the CIA and the Rangers visit the house of the old man, take the whole garden apart, search every inch, but can't find anything. Dissappointed they leave the house.

Another day later, the old man receives another e-mail from his son:"Beloved father, I hope the garden is dug up by now and you can plant your potatoes. That's all I could do for you from here. I love you. -Ahmed."

what first drew me to Tahhajud was the fact that it is said that when the husbands lay in the warm, loving arms of their wives, and the world is fast asleep, it is just you and Allah, one to one. The calmness and serenity one feels, esp after that realization, is amazing. i can only imagine what it's like at the Ka'aba. I am trying to go for Umrah for my first time this July, but my mom keeps warning me of the heat. I pass out when I overheat, but she said the floors are all AC'ed and all. But how is the actual rounds of the Ka'aba in July heat? should i reschedule??

Tahajjud time at the Kaaba is incredible. I got up every morning to pray Tahajjud prayers while performing Umrah, and it was absolutely indescribably awesome. The peace and comfort I knew during that particular time of day was beyond anything I've experienced. Any lack of sleep or tiredness I may have felt ceased to have any effect. It was the best feeling of my life.

alhamdolillah. hey, my cousin who's like my brother was telling me of ppl talking of how bright it gets around Tahhajud time, calm and serene. People saw the Prophet (SAW) in a dream one nite, and that nite, the air was carrying a very sweet scent that filled every1's noses n alerted them to the event. another person saw hazrat eesah, and he said to the person, "Don't worry; I am coming very soon." Freaky and scares the bejesus outta me, but beautiful and moving at the same time.
