The davinci code
Have u read the davinci code from dan brown ? wats ur understanding of the book bein a muslim ?
hey figo how is portugal mate ? by the way yes it aint historical but there are hints in there. for u i wud advise u shud read 'book of the saint of ur home stadium' chapter 13. and then read davinci code and feel proud that u are a muslim. or if u cant read the book u can always watch passion of christ particularly the dialouges when christ is having last dinner with companions and answers st peter's concerns.
I know I'm in the minority but I can't stand Dan Brown. He's the John Grisham of the new millenium. Or maybe it's just that page at the beginning claiming everything in the book is based on historical fact when it isn't.
they r wonderful and the trilogy is better than dan brown's books by the way deception point is awsome as well but the prob with davinci code is that it has loads of secrets in it which muslims need to concentrate on and thats y i brought this one up
Thanks Sam. I was debating whether to read that or not. I will go and buy it.
There is another lot you must read - Philip Pullmans Trilogy..His Dark Materials..They are equally as brilliant if not better!.
master piece without doubt friends and so is angels and deamons i agree. but the question is wat do u think of the whole theory bein muslims? do u think it effects u in one way or another ?
IF you thought Da Vinci Code is great then you absolutely HAVE to read Angels and Demons....because it is a prequel to the Da Vinci Code and it is also way better. I know, it doesn't seem possible, but Angels and Demons IS better! I think what made it even more fun to read is that I went to Paris, the Louvre Musuem etc...saw the paintings he described in the book....its sooooo much more fun to read that way. For the first book......I was reading it while the Conclave was going on (where the choose their pope) so it was all the more interesting to read since it talked about the Conclave in the Vatican. Being a Muslim, I don't think it made me like or not like the book anymore. Syed.....is their some aspects of the book that you question being a Muslim?! Please elaborate on your feelings on when you read the book...and what those feelings have to do with you being Muslim.
I absolutely love this book...I just can't commend it enough..Anyone who hasn't read it has missed out big time!..Everything I could possibly want out of a book, this one gave to me..History, architecture, religion, myths, legends..
fantastic read....i couldnt put the book down...finishd it in almost 4 days!!...hmm what do you mean by saying the being a muslim??....the book questions the whole issue of Christ and whether Jesus is actually what history says he is (or rather christian/catholic history)....i thought the book was awesome...and pretty credible.
