The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Is anyone going to go see it? Will you tell me if its really scary? I was scared by the Grudge...I think that terrified me more then the Ring or Ring 2...only want to see this one if its not super scary......

Plus the concept of possession scares me.....does it you? What's the Islamic position on it?

OMG I am the biggest Clash of the Titans Fan so amazing I used to thing the "devil" was really scary in that too but now I think the graphics might be so outdated that it won't look scary. The passion of the Christ is really an amazing. The relationship between Christ and Maryum was really moving and never portrayed quiet that way before. The devil was really scary in that one. I remember I was house sitting for my parents when I saw it and it was pretty friggin hard to be alone in the house after watching that!

it was a very interesting movie though and yeah it can't be judged outside a christian viewpoint...lucifer gave me the chills

Well all I ment to say was that the movie is made with/in a christian context, and that too the narrow Roman Catholic/Orthodox stint and its consistant w/in its parameters.. you can't really judge it by muslim rules.. since i think a child's suicide attempt wouldn't dam him to eternity in hell in ether islam or other newer version of christinaity even...

If I'm not mistaken, only Christians believe Lucifer was an angel. In Islam, Iblees was a powerful jinn. Allah (SWT) ordered all the angels to bow to Prophet Adam when he was created. Iblees did not bow. When Allah (SWT) asked him why he did not bow, he COULD have answered that only the angels were ordered to do so. Instead, Iblees answered out of bitter pride that he was far superior to man, and would not bow to such a lower creation. And he was cast out from Paradise.

I didn't mind the stuff in Constantine, it went with the story that they set up. Gabriel was a little strange since acording Islam an angel cannot defy god (won't have a desire to by its nature) I didn't ahve a problem with it being played by a woman since Angles have gender... but I guess the idea is that if Lucifer who was once an angel can defy God so can another angel.. aside from the general blasphomous considerations I thought the story was consistant... Constantine's beef with god , is also consisitant with the tradiatioal catholic notion of god... read Dante's Inferno for the strictness with with rules of damnation are imposed... there is no leway no looking at intention and no mitigation by the age of the offender...

Constantine was a good movie, but I didn't like how Keanu sort of had a tift with God, and Gabriel (Jibreel) was portrayed
