The forum's first political party ....


I propose the creation of first political party...

The Rationalists' League

Creed/Philosophy: To apply human intellect and reason to all problems and issues.

Membership: Open to all regardless of religion, caste, creed, national origin or gender provided the member agrees to the party's creed.

Party leadership: Elected through intra-party elections.

Decisions within Party: Simple majority

Amendments to the creed: Impossible

Objective: To seize power and form government in the parliament


Current members' list:

1) Foxglove: Party Chair
2) Huzu
3) Hamdani
4) Mysticlvr

PS: It is the considered opinion of the RL that even the "religious prophets" were merely human beings.

Ms Speaker, the honorable member from the puny little party whose name I can't remember has entered a discussion without ascertaining the facts. The rationalist league does not stand for any expanded government. If anything it believes in John Locke's idea of having government only to protect life, liberty and property. Just because LMP is indulging in vile and untrue propaganda against the ONLY REAL POLITICAL party of this board, doesn't mean that it is true!

I'm with Rozaiba on this ---- with the exception of religious Prophets, no one person, or group of people, has ever really ran a good government and/or democracy ---- more often than not, it does turn into Facism/Nazism/Communism, etc ---- the best government is LESS government, with decisions made by The People....... unless, of course, Hamdani is a Prophet?

Ms Speaker, as usual the gentleman from LMP has shown us how underhanded his tactics can be. If the Nazis and Italian fascists spoke of human intellect, they certainly did not apply it. The reason why we hate Nazis and fascists is because of their inability to accept dissent, discussion and debate... and this is contrary to reason and intellect. The party members are free to change parties any time they want... but I am sure they will continue to remain in this party.
--- I extend a hand of friendship to LMP and propose a Grand Rational Alliance... or GRA ...

I do not believe the current member's list is final....they members are free to move about......the Rationalists League seems to have fascist tendencies.....The Nazis and Italian facsists too desired to use their superior human intellect to solve all problems...the resemblance is disturbing....

Mysticlvr, I second that proposal and nominate you for the chairmanship of the Rationalists' League! ... Huzu I suppose the village owner will pass on the organisation rights to whoever wins the parliamentary election .... meanwhile we can make groups on various threads... so a thread for each party plus threads for resolutions/motions/voting .... I think the village owner will be able to enlighten us on the rules and regulations...
