muslima that's interesting hadith. never heard it before.

Name your children good names because every person ends up acquiring the characteristic of their name!

I'm not sure about the authenticity of this..

It is kind of very true in my case however...

Speaking of names...
There is a hadith about how some of the rights of the father upon his child..is to (1)choose a pious wife; (2) teach him/her the Qur'an, and (3) give him a good name.

There is also:
"On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your names and by your fathers' names, so give yourselves good names." (Hadith Abu Dawud)

I know what my name means... I thought everybody knows what their name means. (People with Islamic names, at least)

but I did notice that almost every time I asked people with English/American names what their names mean, they dont know. ..maybe i had a bad sample.

shohob i did not like the speed bag that much. it's really light. the first thing i want to train myself to do is how to have Strong focus punch.

think about it if ur punch is strong, u wouldn't need the speed. one punch can put someone down.

however u can develop ur speed later.

I love boxing. i bought a punch bag and hang it on a tree on my backyard. everytime i get stress out, i had to take it out on this poor punch bag....
however the punch bag is not here anymore..

Amr, the USPTO (US Patent Office) has its patent database up online and fully searchable. uspta.gov. You can find quite interesting stuff there.

Hossam, there are no rules. As much work as you put, you will get in return. Coming up with the idea is only the first step of a long way of bringing it to life (depending on how big or small the idea/invention is of course) However, the elements I mentioned will help you convince a broader base of companies that your idea is good and worth their time/effort/money.

shohob and hossam, checking if it is a new invention or not is a very important job of the patent granting agency.. one needs only do his best in this regard... google might be a good start.... looking at previous patents is another option (at least those related to your new invention)... I am not sure if there is a public patent database though...

i had an idea before but someone else made it. which is a shopping calculator. a calculator with 2 screens which will help customers to manage their budget before paying for it. but i guess it's not very strong and someone else come up with it before me. now i am thinking of different ideas

shohob. i believe this is the most important step i should make, but i don't know how to make the search.
