THE NFC

Who is clearly better than The Giants in the NFC? I'm not saying they are the best team in the NFC but what I'm asking is who's better and why? Is it out of hte question to think they are better than Carolina, Atlanta, Seattle, or Dallas? Clearly Philly is NOT the team to beat in the NFC anymore.

btw, since they moved to St Louis, the Rams are 37-0 when someone's rushed for 100 yards for them. The Super Bowl they lost to the Patriots, Faulk had 75+ yards on 17 carries and Martz the moron didn't let him carry more! I was screaming my head off that night. If they stick to running the ball like they have lately and with Bulger coming back after the bye-week, look for an offensive showdown between Shaun Alexander and Stephen Jackson (Week 10).

I agree. Carolina is probably the best right now. But it changes every week doesn't it. No one's been very consistent or emphatic. Let's see what happens. For all we know, someone like the Rams could come up all of a sudden. They're offense should be back after the bye week and they're really playing good special teams lately and the defense is... well its not below average right now, stayed with the Jaguar defense. Even though I like the Rams, I'm only using them as an example of what could be. Even Philly cud turn it around. You just never know. And I do agree with Salim that the Bucs are over-rated, specially with Simms as their QB. The Falcons still can't pass if they need to.

I think the Giants are red hot right now. I give them credit they handled my skins. Lets just see if they can keep the momentum going. They have a scary game against he niners. We saw what they did to the bucs. I wouldnt be suprised if they were able to play spoiler again. I still think ATL is the team to beat in the NFC. If they can pull out homefield advantage I dont think they can be stopped. Philly is punch drunk and I think the injuries and Andy Reeds Martz like play calling will do them in. The panthers may be the dark horse in all of this. If they manage to get a wild card they might pull off a few upsets. Well its november let the road to the superbowl begin!!!!

Bucs are straight garbage with Simms at QB and still have to play ATL and Carolina TWICE. As of right now the Top 5 NFC teams (1) ATL - SOLID DEF, EXCELLENT RUNNING ATTACK, can Vick pass? (2) Giants - offense is salty, defense is still sketchy, (3) Carolina - can they be consistent?, (4) Cowboys - can they stop choking in the last minute of the game?, (5) Philly - can their defense be more porous? Each NFC team still has questions - so who knows how the second half maps out.

I agree the Giants are playin they're a$$es offf...the Eagles are embarrasing themselves and Atlanta just hasn't come across anyone that can slow em down...but the Cowboys and Seahawks are all a close second...but any givin week any given Sunday it could all be different...but seriously what's with the Bucs losin to the 49ers???

Tampa playing the 2nd best in the NFC? They lost Griese for the year and just lost to the 49ers. How you figure? I htink the Panthers and the Giants are playing the best, in the NFL right behind Indy.
