The Sunni Version of Mutah
A Misyar Marriage is a unique Sunni Muslim innovation.
Misyar marriage is defined as an official marital "relationship" between a man and a woman who do not live together, and where the husband is not financially responsible for a Misyar wife. Misyar can be a temporary arrangement, but unlike the Mut'a marriage, which ends on the expiration date of the contract, the Misyar has no certain date for divorce, and it is up to the man to divorce his wife whenever, or if ever, he feels like doing so. The difference between a Misyar marriage and a normal marriage, is that the couple does not live in one household but remain on a visitor's basis.
Misyar (to visit or to drop-by) is a Hanbali innovation created by some of the ?clerics? of Saudi Arabia who are aware of the frightening need to have some sort of marriage to satisfy human needs and desires without either party going bankrupt in doing so. So instead of admitting that Muta isn?t haram and it is the right thing to propagate among those who need it; they go ahead and create something similar to Muta minus the time frame (which is also a lie because only the husband is aware of the time frame and based on that he divorces the poor unexpected woman).
Also known as zawaj be niyat al talaq (marriage with the intention of divorce). The man can marry the woman, but have the intention of divorcing her later even without telling the wife ahead of time. She can be very unsuspecting and then suddenly she's divorced.
At least in muta both parties knows it's temporary.
There's also another new sunni innovation called "zawaj-friend" (as in boyfriend/girlfriend marriage). It was introduced by the Yemeni Sheikh al-Zandani in 2003.

They make stupid innovations to solve the problem and give them pathetic names like "zawaj-friend"...and at the same time they mock muta marriage, which is mentioned in the Qur'an.
"To give prostitution an Islamic cover, some women enter into secret marriage contracts with their summer visitors. Known in Egypt as zawag al-'urfi, this contract is made without witnesses and typically ends in divorce by summer's end. Most of Egypt's Islamic scholars condemn this use of zawag al-'urfi."
Note: All these sunni versions of temporary marriage are haraam by Shia standards.

Comments on this journal
patience!
Didn't have time to read through all these posts. Naseeb glitch that doesn't send you an alert unless you actually post a response, but not if you start the journal entry... silly...
shia girl, i wasn't annoyed by u talking about me in the shia village :) it was done there before and i LOVE knowing you guys talk about me over there :D u r incredibly naive to think i was the least bit annoyed :D
(I have removed the comments that relate to a different issue... the rest, regarding discussing things in a proper manner, I have pretty much left...)
1. And that still does not negate my point. The FACT of the matter is that Bukhari and Muslim REPORT from SHIA narrators. Nobody spoke about them reporting from RAFIDHI narrators. Thus, you cannot equate shia with rafidhi necessarily.
2. And Abu Haneefa said that whoever proclaims the shahadah is considered a Muslim. And he was speaking about it in terms of the LEGAL SENSE, meaning they ENJOY ALL THE LEGAL RIGHTS EVERY MUSLIM DOES. They are not to be killed, they are not to be wiped off the face of the earth. There blood is sacred, and their rights are protected. Even Ali (R) refused to fight the khawarij unless they RAISED THE SWORD.
3. Further, the key word is that it is ATTRIBUTED to Imam Malik that he made takfeer of shia. Even if we assume he did for ARGUMENT'S SAKE, that would imply that one cannot marry shia, because the reject a particular Sahabah. Now how logical would that be considering that one can marry a Jew or Christian who REJECT Muhammad (S), the PROPHET of God?
4. Now if we were to assume they were non-Muslim, than that would most likely make them DHIMMI, and considering the Prophet (S) explicitly declared that those who persecute a dhimmi, he (S) will intercede for the dhimmi on the Day of Judgement, under what basis do you argue that they must be persecuted?
5. Further, notice that I did not say I agree with shiaism. I'm quite aware that many of them play double-policy and mis-abuse the sources. In one of my posts, I found it necessary to expose the lack of integrity of al-islam.org. But this lack of integrity is the same with sunnis in regards to them, and in regards to people within their own sect. I do not believe in the concept of imamate, nor do I believe in any way that one can justify cursing the Sahabah (R).
i wasn't saying u were saying something behind my back! we're all doing this behind a screen anyways :D
oh, btw, tell the above writer of this journal that's HE is the most pathetic thing ever! i though he'd leave at least ONE comment here, but i think he's gonna quit fooling around (doing mut'ah), or what? :D
as for iman, let her go to hell for all i care, i'm no friend with hers. i kept her in my circle to spite u shia haters of her, but i couldn no longer do u that service, so i removed her from my circle. one with her manners doesn't make me pride to know.
what you need to read on is how your books offend Ahlul-Bayt you claim love of.
LOL
silky...ur gonna remain ignorant forever.
as for who's ignorant and of what, i've proven it here, and i haven't yet started :) your kibr and thinking that u were necessarily born into the true sect..sickens me. either those blows make u ashamed and run away like Asif_Ali and the others, or they wake u up. depending on your sincerity toward the truth will be the result.
i've not yet started! these are only quick, very very quick entries! akh, time ya Allah, time, lol.
