The Trouble with Asian Men

Wed 16 Nov 2005 - Fri 18 Nov 2005 & Tue 22 Nov 2005 - Sat 26 Nov 2005 8.00PM

Macho men or metrosexual guys? Mummy?s boys
or fellas under their missus? thumbs?

Self-made entrepreneurs, pukka professionals and successful executives with their Mercedes Benz lives and designer clad wives - but does the fire still burn in their bellies?

The acclaimed Tamasha Theatre Company, responsible for the original East is East and the hugely successful Strictly Dandia, answer these questions through unique verbatim performance techniques. They lift the lid on Asian men and see them through their own eyes.

You might just recognise someone you know!

I saw this last night. Brilliant. Full of true, insightful, often hilarious, sometimes brutal but always true observations about an Asian man growing up in the UK!

I felt my whole life past come back to me while watching this and felt almost relived at the end to know I was not alone with all my odd quirks and opinions.

Staged in a very interesting format and style, I really recommend this. Trust me, you'll regret missing it.

And its as funny for women as it is brutally insightful for me

That's strange, Asian guys never seem to give me any drama. The only drama I get is, strangely enough, from women.

If there was a play entitled, "The Trouble With Asian Women", it'd probably be becuase I wrote it.

Would any of you ladies like to play the leading role? :)

The trouble with Asian men...

...is that they never seem to be as smart, witty, intelligent and down-right alround wonderful as me.

There you go. I just saved you 12 quid.

Hey MEN!! this is one for the guys too. its written from a male point of view (apparently). So dont be scared to check it out, its not just a male bashing excercise aimed at us ladies (again apparently)

But then again asian lads dont often visit theatres unless under duress by a female!! . ;)
