as-salaamu `alaykum,

I usually didn't frequent any villages on Naseeb other than this one and the bodybuilding village. I usually ignore invitations I get to join other groups. Recently I got an invitation to another group and thought...meh...what the heck? So I joined..

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, it was hell lol. You guys have no idea how much I realized how full of dignity, self-respect and class Pashtuns are, maa shaa' Allaah. Our worst argument here wasn't ANYTHING compared to some of the cr@p I saw in that other village (which I won't mention).

Whew, I don't think I'm joining any other villages. Its just Pashtuns and/or Bodybuilders that Im associating with.

Aragorn: Thanks for the suggestion, you are right. I did delete the post. I was just so fuming angry when I wrote it that I couldn't care less whether I put names in there or not...hehehe.

Kaniza: Indeed! It's like they say...be the bigger person. What gets me is that one doesn't have to give these losers ANY ammunition whatsoever; they'll talk cr*p about a person regardless. It's a sure sign of insecurity and weakness. Oh well, God will take care of them in an appropriate manner, I'm sure.

Sophisty lol I feel for ya sister, but that journal entry of yours is full of ghaybah. I'd suggest you delete it. Note my complaints were very general and didn't mention people by name. We have to try our best to be better than those we find it necessary to detract. Don't give them more reasons to gossip and fuel the cycle.

Just laugh at them, turn up your nose and walk on :)

Aside from my body temperature, my personality makes me hot. On a cold day thermal undergarments makes me hot. Electric heaters make me hot. Oh and spicy food makes me hot as well.

I think the Prophet (SAS) was hot stuff. Why? He (SAS) was an awesome prophet and went through hell just for us! Oh, and he (SAS) looked good.

You're so right, Busho. I was being urged by people left, right, and center to join it and I did...in retrospect, shouldn't have succumbed to peer pressure.

ok so the shaithan got me and i had to checkout the village....(i didnt join or anything)...but i read through the questions it asked for ppl who wanted to join...so heres my question dudes and duddettes....didnt u guys realize how useless the village would be, by just reading the silly questions? :p

I hear you, Aragorn. It reminds me of the 4-5 Pakistani women in my age group (mind you all divorced...not that this is the issue at hand but still) who segregated themselves at my Feb. 2005 NJ village gathering and sat drinking, smoking, and talking about guys as if there are no other interesting topics of discussion. Moreover, what's 10 times worse is that they were newly-arrived ("FOBs"...hate to categorize and use this word but that's what they were) and were trying way too hard to fit in with the rest of us at this gathering who were all born and/or raised here.

Another thing I've noticed whether in person or on Naseeb, girl or guy, is that "FOBs" make it a point to work into the conversation that they are this and that...my dad is a military general or one of top industrialists, etc...back in Pak, as if this will obliterate their "FOB"iness somehow. The psychology is just so interesting and funny at the same time.

Argh its so wrong to say people are ugly and I said it in passing but probably still shouldn't have said it.

You know I would never criticize someone's looks but when there's this total FOB girl who says "Oh baby I'm so HAWT ISHTUFF!" and complains like "Vut da hell?! Vy guys like to @#$#@# one girl but marry another?...etc" which makes it clear which of the two categories she is if she's complaining about it.

People like that make themselves targets. It just frustrates me to see Muslims act like that...I just wanna tell em...you are below-average looking...keep your clothes on (put more on while you're at it!)...stop publicly talking abotu sex...and just shut the hell up...
