What is the area like? Do you think it's a good area to raise kids? How's the traffic congestion on the highways, etc? Any thoughts on the DFW area would be appreciated!

We have lots of land. Thats why.

Actually this helps a lot, because I had the same kind of question. My husband and I were thinking to move to the Dallas-FW area as well in the next few years. I couldnt believe how inexpensive property/houses are over there...is there a reason for this? Should we be worried???

Thanks Ras! Well my sister and her husband have the opportunity to move there for a job and since she's never been and we don't know anyone there we wanted to find out as much as she can.
So the muslim community is not that active down there?

Okay...as you can tell we are a prepetually sleepy community, with all lot of ppl who dont like to socialize (including the creator of this village...ehem ehem Omer)...but other than that its okay. If you have lived in the north, than traffic is nothing over here, but if ur small town, than yes...give urself an hour in the morning to head down town.

Personally I love where I live in the Arlington/ Mansfield area...but my parents live in Plano, and thats pretty nice too.
