...or the age old classic:

Money = Root of all Evil

...or Evil = Money x Money (if you square both sides of the above eqn.)

We also know that:

Women = Time and Money (or Time x Money)

But we also know that Time = Money

so therefore Women = Time x Time

...or Women = Money x Money

Therefore in conclusion,

Women = Root of all Evil

The more time you put in, the less energy you'll have left.

Therefore what one can deduce from this assumption is that time is inversely proportional to energy.

re. obtaining time - what about one year being the 'time' that it takes the earth the go round the sun? one day is the time it takes the earth to turn completely on its axis? we can obtain that and it is easier to think of it in those physical terms.

einstein showed that time is not constant and i stand corrected, you do need 'time' for gravity to work.

i had a point but i can't remember what it was...

just because you use numbers to count something doesn't mean that something is 'infinite' - because you could in theory count all that 'something' and even if it was a hugely unimaginably large number, it wouldn't make it infinite.

anyway i really can't remember so am moving on. hwo does time relate to energy? that is what i want to know

even if people weren't here to measure it... youd still need it.
an acorn can't fall out of a tree without "time" to do the falling in....

right?

gravity something by something seconds squared?? a constant right?

No.

Saying time doesn't exist is like saying length doesn't exist.

The units of measuring time Hours/minutes/seconds. Just like yards/metres is used to measure length.

Gregorian people us the solar year to measure time, muslims and chinese use the lunar year.

Do I sound remotely intelligent with that retort? huh? huh? Do I, do I?

Hmmmm.... interesting.... I need to take a few more "tokes" before I ponder any further.

"time of your life" is also a pretty good song....

and... emm... that one about the seasons? "a time for love a time for life..."
thats pretty good....

gravity needs time.
gravity is definged as acceleration over time ( i think, i'm not a physics guy... )

on a (pseudo-)philosophical note
if it is "time to act" and you don't act, but act later instead, what time is it then?
i suppose it would be "too late" to act but supposing you are acting at that time anyway does it become suddenly time to act?!

hmm....

"And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it?s sinking,
And racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you?re older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death."

"Time" is one the greatest song's ever written, with a kick-ass guitar solo in the middle.

It's by Pink Floyd. Written over 26 years ago, it's also one of the most contemporary songs available.

Read and relate: www.lyricsfreak.com

I'm listening to it right now.

it is a property of physics but it isn't constant is it (Einstein proved that)?

does something need time to fall? that's gravity, which is unrelated...?

what is time? really?

Login to find out (January 25, 2006 at 4:29pm)
i thought it was a property of physics...
yknow, something needs time to fall and move an all that?
velocy is emm... something by seconds squared or something right?

i think it happens even if we aren't there to watch it.

if time is a subjective experience for us, does that mean that it may not actually exist?

its the 4th dimension... now where is the theorem for spatial vectors.

The very nature, essence and beauty of time is that its not to be seen, felt or touched. We only define time as "reflected light", by connecting it with changes, day n night, seasons, movement of the clock. Time totally depends on our own perception of it. Maybe time jst stands still, we pass it by or it is jst a dynamic constant.

it becomes history?

the universe is an immutable entity with time being an expression of human subjectivity. hence, from the birds-eye perspective, it didn't go anywhere. or maybe i have no clue.

Time does not run out.

We do.
