tirerack

I was under the impression that I need only front tire replacements, but then today accidently I noticed threads popping out of the rear tires from midsection. It's wierd. Front tires have side wall damage while rear wheels have midsection. Having had totalled one car 'cause of bad tires, don't want to take any more chances. I am looking for sport summer tires. Has anybody got experience with tirerack ? sport tire suggestions ?

Update: New Goodyear F1 DS installed. Drives like a charm and haven't seen DSC kickin at all.

Goodyear Eagle F1 DS3 and Michelin Pilot Sport are very close ... but looks and tread rating wasn't that important to me. I chose Michelin because of its intelligent design and overall performance numbers. Like I said, they are very close and it comes down to personal preference. Good Luck.

Ofcourse they are better looking than michelin and also tread rating is better too.

After doing some research, I am leaning towards Goodrich Eagle F1-DS3. Little cheaper than Michelin and somewhat better road handling + wet handling as well. See this www.tirerack.com.
What say ?

I always buy from tirerack. very knowledeable staff. I just put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 on my 330i and absolutely love it. It handles like a gem and road noise is lower than OEM Continental Contitours.
