Tokyo Wings

It took me a while to master this one but its worth it. This is a good recipe for NBA Championship or MLB double header. They are called Tokyo Wings because they are prepared using a seasoning common in some Japanese dishes and very different from the standard Tabasco based wings.

One 2lbs pack of chicken wings
Toban Jian (can be found at any E. Asian market)
1 qt of plain yogurt
1 lb flour
1/2 lb of butter
4 cloves of garlic
1 bulb of ginger
1/2 cup of soy sauce
water

be sure to cut your wings into little drumsticks and that other wing part. grate the garlic and ginger and marinate them with the garlic and ginger with soy sauce and water (be sure they are covered with the liquid). Marinate them for 12 hours or overnite. Drain the soy sauce and water and cover wings with yogurt. Let stand overnite. When ready to prepare heat a pan or skillet to medium heat. Put 1/2 stick of butter into pan. Begin coating the yogurt covered wings with flour and then place them into the pan. Spoon the Toban Jian into the pan over the wings and begin to toss. Continue for 10 min. Remove wings and place on papertowel or draining rack.

note: I know this seems like a lengthy process but its worth it. This is a completely original spin on Buffalo wings. The yogurt is somewhat essential because it will allow your wings to cook evenly and prevent unecessary oil from accumulating in the meat.

Foxglove, very similar to Teriyaki, althoug true Japanese teryaki consists of ginger and onions. I am glad you like it though.
