The Acura 3.5RL is a fyneee car! It's just a shame that it's MSRP of 47-49k (43k invoice) puts it into the realm of other V8's which is a major selling point for many people.

Adnan - I would take the RL over a 5 series as well ;) and btw weren't we comparing the 350z to an M3? My thoughts exactly - when you guys compare apples to oranges its okay but when I compare bananas to peaches I am in the wrong lol lol

Since we're on BMW, what's the skinnie on the X3 (now that it's been available for 2yrs)? I'd take one over a 3-series sedan!

Apc was correct in all that she has said and suggested, based on what is currently available and what has been tentatively planned. Z4, Z8, and 6-series all are coupes; also I have read in the press that a Z2 is planned. I've learned w/ much disdain & apathy that the internet AND the car magz are in an invisible race, the winner being the bigger bull-shitter.

I mentioned that BMW would be changing their naming conventions. Coupe versions would now get a +1 added to their name, and become even-numbered. This aligns well with their current naming of the 6-series, which is a coupe version of the new 5-series (same suspension and platform, etc.). So it only makes sense that the new 3-series coupe be dubbed the 4-series, but over the past 3 months magazines and websites have been waffling over this. It appears as though BMW hasn't quite made up their mind yet about the new naming convention, so it's up in the air as I'm writing this (as far as I know).

lol haha guys - if you actually knew what was going on with BMW (you so called BMW lovers) you would know what cars are coming out. FUnny how you all are hype about BMW but don't even know about the 4 series - gesh. Anyhow Distinguised lol a little cramped, you are about 3 inches taller than me so you hardly have any room in an s2000 to switch gears.

Well, 1-series has been released as a 3dr hatch, 5dr wagon... 2-series coupe based off a similar platform is planned for release in a few yrs. The 5 & 6-series both are from the same platform also. I sorta agree w/ Spddev, who knows if it will carry over to the other models (the new numbering system for sedans & coupes). M4 just doesn't have the same sound to it as M3!

The 4 series is what the new '3 series' coupe will be called. BMW is trying to give all coupes an even number ID (6 and 8 series for example) and sedans an odd number (i.e 3/5/7) They keep changing their mind though so it may never happen.

Distinguished - I think you will look beautiful in your 4 cylinder S2000, which is of course you could fit with the top up....
