Toronto Art Auction - Earthquake Relief

Another e-mail I received;
====================

Dear Friends,
An important and urgent fundraising event is taking place at Gallery
401, 401 Richmond St W, Suite 240, on Friday 21st of October 2005 at
6.pm.
It is a Silent Auction on artworks by some of the finest artists in GTA
and we need all patrons of art to come and join us at this event.
Refreshments and iftar shall be served and you can enjoy a great
collection of artwork, make bids, and help raise funds for the earthquake
victims in South Asia.
You can also win prizes on your entry tabs for theatre performances and
movie shows.

Your help is necessary and your first Christmas shopping should help
those who are in dire need of food, shelter, and medicine.
Please make sure you come and bring your friends along for this very
deserving cause.

Please book yourself for this evening, as we need our friends to show
support for a cause and encourage the artists who are generously
donating their work for this occasion.

Tickets are only 20$ and are available at the gate as well as on sale
from Monday by our volunteers.
Let us show everyone that we care by being there.
Looking forward to seeing you all,
==========================

The best piece of art was a sculpture of a red nude bald headed male figure leaning back on all fours while precariously perched on top of a chasm that was open to a pit of fluids and spikes below.

It was bought by and rejected twice by an Amnesty International gallery on accout to 'too much nudity'??

Yes, a prominent Human rights organization has failed to keep the human form? #:

It was sold for $300!! A steal!

I was there and it was sinister. This silent auction bit is pure evil. People were signing up their bids on each item right in front of those who had signed already.

I mean stare downs! :@

People armed with pens and pencils! :*

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! #:
