Triton Extreme Synth Workstation

Salam,

I'm looking into getting a synth and was wondering if anybody know if the Korg Triton Extreme (or tritons in general) are good. They seem to be cause it appears to be the industry standard but just curious if anybody had first hand experience. Is it good for techno?

yeah, i've always wanted to be in band like radiohead where they had all these weird sounds coming from weird equipment. i think they also use computers to do a lot of their stuff as well....they got the best of both worlds

yeah, if you don't have a tricked out computer w/ the works, software can be a pain....i'd go w/ hardware anyday....this way live performance would never be an issue.

yeah, i have reason 1.0....didnt like it much....didnt like the sequencer although the sequencer is probably more intuitive than the triton's. im using the triton and it took me only a half day to come up w/ a decent dance song lol....although software is good, you can't beat real equipment.

if you don't want to spend a lot, get a decent MIDI controller and Propellerhead Reason. :)

thanks for the comments aftab...i actually ended up getting it this weekend (good sale + research seems to show its the best bang for buck)...adn its pretty awesome...the stuff this thing can do is crazy. yeah, ive been wanting to get a synth for a long time so i prepared myself to spend the money a long while back. if you want a sequencer, sampler, and mad sounds, you probably wont find it for cheaper.
