I saw Tsotsi the other day. The film is set in one of the townships in the suburbs of Johannesburg and the story is about a young gangster whose past catches up with him and challenges the way he's lived his life upto that moment...

It's essentially one young man's story. And what a story too... I've seen townships like that with my own eyes, maybe that's what really made it feel so real and so raw. You get that sense of fear, from the fearlessness of some of these youths, they rob, carjack and kill, you'll do anything when you think you've got nothing to live for and nothing to lose.

I went to Johannesburg a couple of years back and it was a real eye-opener. You can read all you like about something but sometimes you do have to experience it for yourself to truly understand it. South Africa has such a jaded past and yet a lot of people are really hopeful for it's future too.

Going to SOWETO was an incredible experience. The Hector Pieterson Memorial Museum took me through so many feelings and emotions it was unbelievable, it gave me chills, made my heart race and my head pound. It's one of the best museums in the world. I went in knowing nothing and came out truly educated, moved and inspired too.

I thought Tsotsi was a brilliant film, if nothing else it shows how 'the other half live', some cinema audiences might not be ready for such a revelation...

We REALLY dont have ANYTHING to complain about...

It had an awesome SA hip-hop soundtrack I might add.
