Updated: Downtown Events: CAMP-Toronto
I will be co-ordinating downtown Toronto events for Council of American Muslim Professtionals Toronto Branch (CAMP-Toronto).
Need input on the types of events people will be interested in participating in.

We can meetup at either Tim Horton's or Starbucks just north of Yonge and Bloor south of Toronto Reference Library.
If weather is nice we can stroll through Yorkville which is close by.
Current suggestions:

Dinners
Comedy Clubs
Plays/Theatre - Second City
Museums
Walking Tours/Trails

Squash
Tennis
Coffee/Chai get togethers

The play 'Much Ado About Nothing" was a play I hadn't read or scene before.
The actors were really good and the weather at night was pretty perfect too.
Inshallah, planning on attending many more plays in the near future.
We are considering having dinner at some of the restaurants in Yorkville in the near future.
The Distillery District is going under renovations and is now open to the public. It would be nice to have a meeting there and get a taste of how life was in the 1800's in Toronto.
Also, count me in for the downtown event.
I have to say, I do like starbucks, but will be flexible for the greater good :P
I like the BBQ idea with some games perhaps at Centre Island. There's also the harbourfront which always really nice or The Beaches.
How about a day trip to Thousand Islands?
Ski Trips to moonstone?
Or something a little longer and more exciting a long weekend to Gaspe for Whale watching in September or the Winter Carnival in Quebec City in February. I would love to help out with the planning on this events as they are difficult to coordinate. Let me know and i'll try to what going on. I won't be able to make it to Aug 5th as I'm out of town...but insh'allah next time!
