well said Hzma... i believe that's exactly where strong personality comes from.

muslima. nothing better than hold it from the middel. gentel and tough...
i see strong personality when a person has the ability to influence others and does not feel down because of what people may think of him.

aya that's how i see it too, when a person has temper it's a sign of weakness not strength.
as the hadith say " laysa el shadido bel sor3a...enama el shadido man yamlok nafsaho 7ena el ghadab"

the hadith says that strength comes when a person hold his anger or control his anger.

The verse in the Qur'an clarifies this concept further about Sayeda Mohamed(pbuh) and his companions being tough with the non-believers and merciful with his companions/family (asheda2 3ala al-koffar, ro7ama2 baynahom)...so I guess...a strong personality is the type that is tough where it needs to be, and gentle/kind when it needs to be :)

I completley see it as you said, calm and controlled, someone that gets things done without putting too much of a show about it. Someone who doesnt resort to lying to get out of situations. Someone dependable. I think of 007 or superman ;)
