Association of Muslim Health Professionals - AMHP represents a diverse body of health professionals and students including but, not limited to: public health practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals, health care administrators, nutritionists, social workers, mental health professionals and physicians.
In addition to fostering collaboration among health professionals, AMHP is also committed to increasing awareness of the importance of public health as a means to improving the overall health status of our communities.
Our mission is to collaboratively empower Muslim health professionals to improve the delivery of health services and increase access to care in North America through education, research, and outreach
Our vision is to be the leader in health promotion through the integration of Muslim health professionals inspired by the Quran and Prophetic model.
The purpose of AMHP's listserv www.amhp.us) is:
1. To provide an open forum for Muslim health professionals across United States and Canada to discuss issues pertaining to their respective fields.
2. Serve as a networking tool for those individuals seeking employment in the healthcare sector.
3. Share relevant articles, research papers, and journal publications.
4. Offer mentoring services (on graduate programs, internships, fellowships, career ladder, etc) to undergraduate, graduate students, and early careerists.
5. Post relevant information on events, conferences, and seminars.
The listserv is not restricted to Muslims and health professionals alone. The listserv will best serve the interests of students and professionals in the following fields and/or with the following degrees:
Allied Health Professionals (Occupational/Respiratory/Speech/Ph ysical Therapists)
Chiropractors

Healthcare Administrators (MBA, MHA, MPA, MS)
