Visiting Washington DC!

Inshallah, my dad and I will be visiting Washingtion DC from May 30th to June 10. My sister just moved there after getting married last year.

Has anyone visited The Cheese Factory in Washington DC? I watched a show on this restaurant chain and the food and service seemed amazing.

Need to know what are the key places to visit and when is the best time to visit them.

Do Washington DC Naseebers get together often? Perhaps we can all meet up while I am in town.

Update:
=================================

Inshallah I will be Washinton DC( Fairfax, Virginia) by tomorrow evening. I like to thank everyone for their input on this JE, Jazakallah Khair.

I don't know how much internet access I will get while visiting Washington DC, so if you have any more good suggestions feel free to call me on my cell number is 416-891-3967.

Sdastg1 try to see them all especially if you are in Washington DC on somewhat of regular basis. Didn't know Washington DC area had so many universities and colleges. Love hanging out in colleges and university areas. =)

Downtown Pittsburgh was really cool to look at while driving through it. Liked the bridges in the city. Mountains and buildings in and around them reminded me of Mecca.

Alhamudlillah, arrived safely in Washington DC yesterday and had a brief drive by Capitol Hill today.
It is amazing right by the Whitehouse and surrounding area. Went to Bombay Cafe for a late lunch in Fairfax, Virginia it was pretty good. :)

I once saw a sign in Pittsburgh that said; "Welcome To Nowhere - You are in the middle".

Sad but true.

i find it quite annoying how some kabob places open up having bomb food and low prices then they start skimping and jacking everything up....2 dollars for a soda! subhanallah! But there're those certain places that remain on the right track.

Farhad and I had a terrible experience at Punjab Kabob on Sunday. Kabob Palace was actually closed (some construstion going on inside?? ) so we went to Punjab Kabob next door. It was like eating cardboard. Kabobs had no flavor. I'd say if you venture out to Punjab Kabob, might as well go next door to Kabob Palace. Can't go wrong with that!!! Maybe we went on an off day.

I agree Ravi is the place..Also try Punjab Kabob in Arlington. Labenese Taverna is excellent for those into middle eastern. There are also some great hookah/sheesha lounges in AdamsMorgan, Arlington.
