The experience of the great seekers of Allah tells us that whosoever frequents the invocation : "Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum La ilaha illa ant" - which means " O Ever living, O Self-Existing One by whom all subsist: There is no god but Thee." will be given a vital heart and a sound mind. Ibn Taymiyyah ( may Allah purify his soul) was strongly attached to this invocation and would say that these two names of Allah: Hayy ( Ever-living) and Qayyum ( Self-existing One by whom all subsist) have a great affect on the life of the heart.
