Vote Maqlooba or Mansaaf?

Ya jama3a I am trying to find a national dish for our village, so yala start voting, I know that most Arabs know maqlooba, and many know mansaaf.

I'll vote maqlooba( or ma2loobay, or maklobay), as the marqa in mansaaf smells like a 3anza(goat) :)

if you are not familiar with either one of the dishes check the following links:
maqlooba: home9.highway.ne.jp
and www.hum.u-tokai.ac.jp

Mansaf: www2.wbs.ne.jp

that is so cool mamaghanoge the reason I can't stand the mansaf is the jameed it smells so bad, I'd make sure to try the ghazawi mansaf one day:)

lol... mansfa z definatly our Pali trade mark.. we call it mansaf ghazawee if its only made out of rice, chicken, breat and garlic lemon sauce...mansaf ordonee (jordanian) z the one made w/milk.. ejmeed... and goat meat (which i cant stand the smell of) so i definatly vote for the Gazawee mansaf..

We had some pali friends over today..mom was teaching them how to make bread...and they brought maklooba with them. But guess what..we ate it right out of the pan...yu[ :;gasp:: we didn't turn it upside down. So down that mean we had up right rice?Im confused.

Maryoom is kabsa same as Mansaf? I think not because as I know for Mansaf you will need to use "Jameed".

Anyhow I vote for Mansaf because I have eaten ma2loobeh all my life

my point entirely. the act of flipping something over does not make it a different meal

did you know maklooba means upside down, it's not actually a food?

rabbits are tasty, maklooba is upside down food, nothing noteworthy about it. Minsaff! minsaff though, that is tradition baby, that screams ARABI FEAST! you can feed armies of people with minsaff, easy to make, tasty to eat, and economical. maklooba is an accident.

If it's just those two choices, my vote is for ma'looba. I've actually never heard of mansaaf (unless I know it by another name and I'm just not aware...), but the picture doesn't appeal much to me. To me, it just looks like meat and rice. ...so what is it exactly? If one of you could kindly explain to me, I'd appreciate it.
