Totally waste of my time and money. Expected much much more from this movie. Story line just dragged on and on.

Hated It!
Oh please don't blame the novel its Spielburg whose to blame! he ony too the starting and the ending from teh novel the novel is not even set in present times! Besides I think he would have been better off either making this as a period piece or else changing it all together....I don't know what the heck he was thinking. Tom cruise was not at all believeable as a long shoreman the kids were annoying I mean come on this sort of modern day parent child turmoil and divorce the new hubby with the range rover you think H G wells penned this stuf!

This movie made me mad, by how bad it was, the only cool part was the carnage I was pretty much annoyed the whole time anyone talked in this movie, aside from the end and start narration by Morgon freeman which is straight from the book.

Batman was awesome. I saw the movie at IMAX so it was even better. I really really liked the movie.

I agree to a certain degree. I guess spielberg was limitied to the novel and couldnt expand on it! It kinda reminded me of the classic "The close encounters of the Third kind".

The Aliens die cuz they drank water in Karachi!!!

Anyways, i enjoyed it... How about Batman??

It's just not worth watching in a theater. Not that I don't like Spielberg's movies but this one is just not that of the standard he is famous for. Beginning was good but after 30-40 minutes family drama. I went to see a movie not the family with problems and then it really messed it up when shoulder carry rocket launcher blew up the ship which all the F16, F15, and Cobra helicopter couldn't destroy.

I didnt like the movie at all. There were so many loopholes in the movie. Special effects were cool but thats about it. Three of my friends and I walked out.
