We think we have forever
To change our ways
We think we have another day
To correct our mistakes
We plan for our future
Our long lives ahead
But we forget about today

Buying, working
Wasting time
Hours passing by so quickly
While the meaning of life
Is left behind

The fear, the worry
Lingers in the back of our minds
Our hearts whispering
Our conscience pressing
But the temptations of the world
Too alluring

Justifications made for our wrongdoings
Thinking there?s always time to change
But only Allah (SWT) seals our fate
And by tomorrow it could be too late

Why then with this knowledge
Do we continue on this path of self destruction?
What is it in us that closes our eyes
Our ears
Our minds
To the straight path?

So many chances
Turn into lost opportunities
Slipping by. So much
taken for granted,

But all is not lost
With knowledge comes understanding
With dedication our faith can grow
With patience our souls will become less heavy
And taste the freedom
