West Indies vs. Pakistan (compare and contrast)
With my limited cricket knowledge and looking at both teams? performance in the past one-year or so, I observe the following points:
Test Matches
a) W. Indies has a pretty decent batting side. Its bowling is not that strong though, but its player can take ten wickets during two days if oppositions are not showing patience.
b) Pakistan recent success against India shows that it is equal if not more than W.Indies in its strong batting line up, while it has much better bowling attack. The key will be taking twenty wickets in five days. The main batsmen are: Lara, Chanderpaul, Gayle, Hinds, Sarwan, Bravo, and Brown.
c) In W.Indies in its recent test matches against South Africa has been bothered by fast bowlers like Andrew Nel and Ntini. We have decent pace bowling attack with Shabbir, Naveed, and Iftikar. Honestly, I would love to see Shoaib against Lara, but it is not happening folks. We have Kaneria and Arshad Khan as our leg and off spinners respectively. So, our bowlers should do the job well done (hopefully, keep your finger cross, touch wood, or whatever)
d) I am predicting either 2-0 or 1-0 for Pakistan (in two tests they will play against W.Indies), PROVIDED PAKISTAN IS PLAYING WITH CONSISTENCY AND DID NOT TAKE W.INDIES LIGHTLY.
One-day Encounters
a) In limited over game, these two teams are equally even. They met each other in ICC Championship Trophy and in Australia Tri One day series.
b) Pakistan should not take W. Indies lightly, as W.Indies can win and ODI any single against the best teams like England and Australia.
c) Prediction: I would like to see Pakistan win 3-0, but be conservative I am predicting 2-1 for Pakistan.

the main thing is that Pakistan has to play without Inzi in the first test...that can create problems for them...In the last series with India.. our spinners played a big role and I m expecting again from them...
but the problem with WI is that they have many lefthanders and the LHB are much better against the leg spin..as compared to RHB...
In the batting side...I think Pakistanis r better...
I wud expect much from Salman Butt coz he I think plays better against fast bowlers...Rest r the experienced players and they shud perform at their best...
New Inclusion in the Pakistani side is Bazid Khan (Son of Legendry Majid Khan) He has proved his ability at domestic level and I hav a guess that he wud play in place of Inzi...
Afterall, Pakistan has a much ez series as compared to what they faced in India and Australia...
so lets hope for the best...
