Fati77.......I think we both agree with one another :) So true that the ONLY time my height becomes an issue is with desis......everyone else (INCLUDING myself!!) seems to love the height attribute. WEll like Shahzelle has said......you should look at the positive side and quite honestly, I would never want to change my height....there are too many good things about being tall then bad (which is only the one that I mentioned) so heck... life is great (Alhamdullilah!)

lol SN....I don't think being tall is EVER an issue for guys in ANY culture........issues arise only if you are a short if you are a guy.... Hmmm......I wonder if there is a short people village where the guys get to vent.... like the girls are in the tall vilage, lol

syed_naveed, when i asked you to share your height issues it was only in response to your suggested name change for the room...i assumed it meant you had issues dealing with your height in the muslim cultural scene as well. i was just curious... def speak up and say vhat you vill.... :)

Hey hi there! not to worry...Desis can only be taken serious for so long only. So its time to look everywhere.Bottom line look for a simple, hardworking people. They are the jewels, and always compliment fine tuned ladies... :)

shazhelle, you said "plz learn to make your positive points the focus." i totally agree. the ironic thing is that the only times height becomes a negative is when it comes to desi's....in my non-desi world (work, nondesi friends, etc.)...the height is considered a great attribute, but when it comes to all the aunty comments and all the young desi fellas...it turns out to not be such a fab thing. kinda strange the way things work, no?

mysticlvr: I do think it looks a bit odd, but thats just because its not the norm. societal norms shouldn't dictate things, though certainly they influence them. its all about ppl being comfortable in their own skins and who they're with, etc etc.

S_N! can we have a positive and a friendly attidude plz.As for the rest...Gals its time you looked for non desis too...as desi's have too many issues...plz learn to make your positive points the focus. learn to handle it, by joining a modeling course, will do you wonders. If we could redesign ourselves, I am sure we all know how we would do it. But thats not the case so lets do whats best for us , accept us and improve on it....stay away from the short desi men...lol...maybe I should start a match up club :#
