I've gone ahead and extended the deadline to 12 AM Thursday, Dec 1st, 2005. You all now have lots of time! An entire month! If you care you'll figure out how to make it happen! So no more excuses!
I was just hoping to encourage more people to donate more money to the earthquake relief.. Not tomorrow, not next week, or next month but right now and ASAP!
This little contest is open to absolutely everyone everywhere! You do not have to be in California. It's all being done via the Internet... so yeah you could be literally anywhere on the planet! Doesn't matter! J
Where and how should you donate money to the Earthquake Relief? Honestly do your own research and decide who and where your contributions will be put to the best use. That's why I compiled that big old list to begin with.
Any more questions you've got... Please don't hesitate to ask!

Not ME me but YOU personally!
So if you're an artist, draw or paint something.. Whatever! And if you write... write something! But I don't want to see no boring typed up word doc... You?re gonna write you gotta be creative in how you present it too.
Actually you know any visual medium or type of written material will do.
i.e. drawing, painting, collage, photography, poems, essays, stories, whatever you like!! I guess even audio & visual too! Sure why not? ? I?m open to your suggestions, ideas even a lil help would be nice too!

Dunno what to do? Well that's why I'm giving you a month now to come up with something! So go out! Have fun! And be inspired!
Yes, you can have the peepals, aneemaals (especially the monkey.. monkies rock!), children (same difference),... whatever you like in your work. Hey, I'm running this little deal here so I get to make up the rules! Just keep it family friendly. Given most of you are still living at home with mommy & daddy I wouldn't want you having to become a murgha (ask them they know what I'm talking about) or loosing your allowance.
In the mean time I'll be setting up some space online.. Actually found a few good options already J and then we can be all democratic and see who wins!
RULES:
1. Okies You have to donate at least $10 to some organization for the Earthquake Relief in Kashmere. Why? Cause those poor people need all the help they can get! So I need to see some proof of having done so ...not in the past but right now starting from today 10-31-05
2. With your submission be sure to include your name, name/title of your piece, contact info and anything else you'd like to say. i.e. a short bio
3. Entries must be received no later 12 AM Dec.1, 2005
4. Email your submission(s) to: [email protected]
your subject/header must say
'What Eid Means to Me'
& include your name or email
i.e. What Eid Means to Me - Waqas
or
What Eid Means to Me- [email protected]
5. If you do not follow the instructions correctly your submission will be ignored... and no I'm not gonna tell you did it wrong either.. I will however reply and let you know your submission was received ok though. It's your responsibility to make sure I receive your work ok.
6. Join the Comics-n-Manga village here www1.naseeb.com on Naseeb and look for the journal

to get all the latest info. Any questions, comments etc you have that's the place to ask.

I'm not making a dime out of any of this... PERIOD. All rights to your work will belong entirely to you. Nor is this an attempt to exploit your talents in anyway. I've got a job already.
Once your work has been received I'll post it all online & that's it!
Given this whatever happens to it afterwards is entirely out of my hands. It's very very important you protect your work.. Something you should always do anyhow.
