What is love ?
Yeah lets see what all you ppl think of love. It exists, doesnt exist, happens, never happens, only happens ones, can happen more then once, its just lust or whatever u think. And try to be honest.

Slimshorty, is everything alright ?
There are very few ppl who can really love. And actual love is very rare to find among ppl. Most of ppl here claim to be truly in love with their significant other. But only they know if they are actually in love or just pretending to be in love, just because they cant face the truth. Which in my understanding is wrong.
Anyhow Love for everyone is what they make it to be. And for most of us it turns out to be a mistake. I dont know why.
Is there one sided love ? can anyone love another person without expecting the same in return? And if love is forever can one sided love be forever?
actually what i meant when i said love can diminish is that love can calm down after a while..it's not going to stay the roller coaster of emotions and fun and novelty and excitement that it usually is in the beginning of a relationship. i guess "diminish" is the wrong word to use. i dont mean that it'll reduce, i meant more that the nature of it can change. but part of loving someone is recognizing that change and working with it, not running off the moment the novelty wears off.
To me, part of love is commitment and loyalty. Hence, staying committed is an important factor. It shouldn't be a compromise. It should be key. (i guess if it feels like a compromise, you're not really in love).
Sadz: I agree with you but in the end did u mean that love also diminishes with time like everything and becomes a compromise ? That if you made a choice then u have to live with it forever ?
Well that is not love then. Its just that u start off thinking its love but then later after few years you realize it was not really love. And can you love anyone by choice ? I dont think you can, but maybe some ppl think they can fall in and out of love by choice.
Did anyone see a movie called "The Notebook" ? If not then you should see it if you like good love stories. It is a beautiful movie.
I would say its when you care about another person as much if not more than you care about yourself. And about their dreams. And they have the power to make you happy or sadder than anyone else. I don't know.

Shorty: I understand what you are saying about love being dependent on individuality but this JE is about your personal opinion. So that we know how many differnet ppl have how many different definitions of love.
I think Love is something above all. Above friendship, attachment, companionship, and romance.
Do u believe in Heer Ranjha, Laila Majnu, and Romeo Juliet type of love? Love to die for?

love has many forms and meanings that change with time/experiences/and different people you interact with...
love is lust...friendship/attachment/compan ionship...blind trust ...sense of security...and complete vulnerability....

There is no one answer. In fact I think I personally have gone through all the above. Love definitions changes as you grow with the person. First it romantic, then, tough, then everything is about consideration for your other half.
