What job may prevent you from marrying this person?
What kind of job that may prevent you from marrying someone?
what kind of job that you hate your partner to do?
u r right hany, i agree with u it's not beneficial. i just wanted to point out that it's mere business these days. Paying millions to players and actors is certainly too much, but the clubs or poduction firms get multiples of this money. that's it. they invest the popularity of players and actors and get money out of it. they don't do any benefit to the community, except ofcourse the taxes collected from their profits
and anyway, there's no problem with female soccer players, coz there are not much, neither in egypt nor here :)
I don't feel right about sports being a profession. Unless you're coaching. And still, not coaching professionals for millions of dollars. Just youngsters and ordinary people who want to learn how to play a certain game.
So, I agree with MuslimaEgyptian. It's not a serious or purposeful job. What does the sport player "produce" in order to get this money? And is this a fair value for it. Is it beneficial? Does it contribute to the community?
Same thing with acting. Things are overvalued for no real reason.
yep, some drug dealers may have good intentions, like dealing in medical marijuana :)

u r right, soccer players in egypt are not serious about it, but in europe, it's a profession and billion dollar business. For example, when a club like Real Madrid buys Zidan with about $50 millions, they gain much more than that in selling T-shirts with his name, in commercials he appears in, ...etc. Also, players there take it seriously. They go to the club daily and stay there for required training sessions.
I guess nothing is wrong with a soccer player if he's a good Muslim I guess );
But still....I feel like it's not a serious, purposeful, job...
Plus, the way sports are today in Egypt, and in general, has changed...it's more materialistic...and about showing off...making commercials....than in the past...
I was following some of the African Cup games...and can't believe all of those Egyptian players with long hair....and in one interview....one of them said that he always hated school, and failed in it....
Oh goody...what a nice role model for the kids who are watching him!
Anyways, what are the chances of people meeting a soccer player unless you're a part of Egyptian Hollywood..

Sami Yusuf is a Muslim monshed/singer whose songs focus on Islamic principles and the love of Allah and the prophet (pbuh). He partakes in decent video-clips as a way to combat the existing sleazy ones....
His website is not working for some reason..but here it is: samiyusuf.com
hmm...a most interesting question...
But does that scenario even exist nowadays.. as it appears as if most Egyptians at least are professional in one way or another
For the sake of discussion...one can say...
Actor
Singer (unless he's sami yousef) :D
Soccer Player
