what 's your favourite algerian meal...
Tell us what is your favourite meal, cakes...
I like "couscous", "chorba"....
baklawa mmmmmmmm........
Brainvslove, since you've been tempting us all I suggest you bring samples!!! I so love tameena (I've got some great honey and have butter so just need you to bring the rouina)
By all means sister Sophia! Everybody in the middle east, Turkey or even Greece think they can make the best Dolma, well to all of them (brothers and sisters) I say you are really misguided and you will be enlightened once you try ours. Warak 3inab can never be considered a dolma :)
Kesra, where should I start?, Aghroum or Matlou3 or the other dozen type of bread we make. Ezzit either from la Petite ou la Grande, Tizi or Bejaia, it will heal any health condition, the one who tries it for the first time will feel that his heart slipped and dropped, yes it is that viscous :)
You mean is there a single Algerian food-like substance that one does not drool over, obviously no. For starters, chorba or hrira will open the appetite of even the anorexic while the aroma of cilantro diffuses to wake the couch potato. Then dolma, tajine, or m?thewem, so light and delightful. A roasted pepper salad will test the senses while a l?ham lehlou gives the energy to conquer the night.
A baklawa, mehchi or kalb ellouz with green tea b?enna3na3, w?lktayef . After each and every bite one has to pause and say the following: ?Allah Allah, alhamdulil?Allah? :)
Got enough, I can go on and on. I just came back from a trip to Montreal and and brought with me some caprices (the candy, 20 centimes chez ammi el hadj) I shared some with friends from various backgrounds and they all fell in love with it. One can become a ?caprice? distributor any takers?
