What to get for $5k...?!?

hmmm... Ok, I'm considering another car purchase. Right now I already have an import 2seat high-perf. sports coupe & an import midsized SUV. I'm looking into getting a plush midsized import (JDM) 4dr w/ reasonable miles, no major drama, etc. I'm looking to spend $3.5-5k ( +/- $500 ); basically it's play money for an utility car. The contenders so far are:

- 1990-1996 Infiniti Q45 ($2.5-6.5k)
- 1991-1995 Acura Legend ($2.5-5.5k)

Others I'd be keen on but seem to be slightly above my range:

* 1997+ Acura 3.5RL |$7.5k+|
* 1993-1997 Lexus GS300 |$7k+|

I'd consider the 1996+ Audi A4's |$5k+|, but going back that far in the model year on a German import, I can get lynched w/ the maint/service!

I also liked the 1998+ Honda Accord Coupe |$5.5k+| auto.consumerguide.com (BUT it's a coupe, and if I wanted to go that route I'd instead opt for the 1992-200 Lexus SC300/400 |$5.5k+| ). There's not much else that intrigues me within the parameters I have to work w/!

So... Any input, suggestions, insights?

1992-1995 Acura Legend sedan in a darker color, no doubt about it.

The earlier Q's do have their quirks. One of my good friends got one for about $2.5k w/ 130k miles. He had to do the window regulators (2), power-steering bushings (?), driver's seat reupholster, a few bulbs here-n-there, and that's IT! I do know the transmission is a possible weak link on earlier Q's. 276hp, active-suspension, and luxurious interior: mmm! Acura = terrible engine design? What maint' does it require when it can go 200-250k+ w/o a topend rebuild?!? Other than the 3.0/3.2 NSX motors, the other Acura drivetrains are not overly complicated for most DIY'ers. Mid to late 90's TL's (2.5TL, 3.2TL) are a good bargain too, Sark... =)

Wow, i'm looking in the same boat for price range, but I was unaware of some of these cars that could be attained with $5k. I was thinking Toyota Corolla personally lol.
