What would you buy?

If there were dreams to sell,
Merry and sad to tell,
And the crier rung the bell,
What would you buy?

Reality is a subset of dreams? or Dreams are a source of reaching our reality?

i wonder .
i wonder

That is an interesting point, I have never thought about it before. Here is how I see it. Reality and dreams are not the opposite of each other, also reality is not necessarily negative. I see reality as a subset of dreams. Dreams are all inclusive and since there are no limits, no boundaries in dreams so they are liberating, there is this good feeling attached to them. Reality on the other hand looks at what is available and can happen. Now when you put dreams and reality side by side, it appears that the talk about reality is trying to deprive us of the freedom that dreams give us. Even though reality isn't doing any such thing. It's just the point of reference and the illusion that leads to this negative image about reality.

And why do we always attach reality with something negative, something limited, and see it as something that is the opposite of our dreams?

Perhaps our imagination is limited or else we are hoping that dreams will actually come true. So, we want to keep them close to reality.

I wonder why do we limit ourselves in our dreams?

No, I am not dreaming of buying Microsoft, a small corporation would do.

Well, i could sell you a village too but i was afraid you would ask for a corporation. I can't deal with Warren Buffet and Bill Gates knocking at my door.

ofcourse dreams, I wasn't buying a village.

You could have tried paying with something like Afaq's. But then his dream was different too.

I'll make money by owning a corporation, a lot of it. I don't have anything to pay for the dream.

Login to find out (October 5, 2005 at 7:21pm)
Exactly....

So how much are you willing to pay for your dream but before that tell me what would achieve byowning a corporation?

Login to find out (October 5, 2005 at 7:19pm)
not at all, I am a corporate slave who earns minimum wage.

I could tell by the comment before this one that you were a merchant yourself and not a merchant of dreams. You just confirmed it with this one :)

Login to find out (October 5, 2005 at 7:11pm)
ok, I would like to own a corporation.

The purpose of the excercise is two fold:

to help you see what you own or would like to own
to help me see your dreams and the value you are willing to place on them.

So assume i am the one holding them all..

Its the assessment stage remember. We move on further then..

It's kind of tricky. How could you sell me my dreams, if I know what the dream is, I already own it.

Aangil. You choose the price too. The merchant is also interested in seeing what value one places on their dreams. Its the initial market assessment we are having at this stage.
